Progressive-minded social justice gamers are up in arms over the videogame website GameSpot’s ad partnership with the Army National Guard, apparently unaware the military is supposed to be on “their” side in the upcoming election.
Woke videogamer Twitter melted down on Tuesday over two tweets by GameSpot – not to be confused with the retailer GameStop – in which an Army National Guard sergeant talks about upcoming games, followed by a link to their esports page.
So this is what everyone is freaking out on @GameSpot over? I see some calling it “the most disgusting thing they’ve seen on the internet.”
Man people are soft. It’s not THAT serious. pic.twitter.com/uh09PjCsLg
— UnsaltedHoagie (@UnsaltedHoagie) September 1, 2020
After dozens of people complained about the video being “super awkward” and a “bad look,” the site deleted both tweets in less than an hour.
Gamespot had this super awkward National Guard ad up on their main feed for a little under an hour, tons of people commented that it’s a bad look and should be deleted, and they deleted it in under an hour. That about sums it up. pic.twitter.com/9CEhPEBJlY

One blue checkmark went so far to dub the ad “gross” and a “disgusting betrayal” of the journalists who worked hard to make GameSpot “a brand worth advertising with in the first place.”
Whoever posted this, pass this up the chain:
This is not only gross on its own merit, but it’s also a disgusting betrayal of the content teams who have worked exceptionally hard, especially over this past year, to make GameSpot a brand worth advertising with in the first place.
— austin walker (@austin_walker) September 1, 2020
One of the reviews editors at GameSpot agreed, calling it “reprehensible.”
I find it reprehensible
— Kallie Plagge (@inkydojikko) September 1, 2020
Apparently, the woke gamer community was disgusted because when they see National Guard they think of it being used to suppress riots. One popular tweet simply linked to the Wikipedia article about the 1970 Kent State shooting of unarmed student protesters against the Vietnam War.
Another argued that the ad shows the “the extent to which video games are intertwined with us imperialism and warfare not just in their worldview but materially, systemically…”
These reactions were largely in line with revelations by social justice activists earlier this summer about the Army’s esports team advertising on Twitch. One progressive activist’s crusade to get them deplatformed ended with the Army in full retreat suspending esports operations until 2021.

While the woke gamers – many with Black Lives Matter in their names or bios – may regard the mere existence of the National Guard or the US military as offensive, the irony is that the latest polls show the troops actually backing Democrat nominee Joe Biden over President Donald Trump.
Of the active-duty service members surveyed by the newspaper Military Times, 41 percent said they would vote for Biden and only 37 backed Trump. The incumbent had only a 25 percent favorable rating, to 42 percent very unfavorable – and that’s with only 16 percent of those polled identifying as Democrats.

A new ad by Republican Senator Tom Cotton needs to be played over and over again until Election Day.
If the Republican party hammers this message day in and day out for the next couple months, the GOP will win big in November.
Record gun sales, record first-time gun buyers and a nationwide ammo shortage is the mood of the nation.
Americans are fed up with violent left-wing mobs destroying businesses and roving into residential neighborhoods.

State Department Illegally Monitored Trump Jr., Hannity, Ingraham, Posobiec And Others From Kiev: FOIA
The US State Department illegally monitored the social media accounts of 13 conservative Americans, including Donald Trump Jr., Sean Hannity, Laura Ingraham, Lou Dobbs and Jack Posobiec, according to Just The News, citing memos scheduled to be turned over to Judicial Watch.
The surveillance operation, which began in March 2019, was run out of the US Embassy in Kiev while under the command of then-Ambassador (and impeachment witness) Marie Yovanovitch, after journalist John Solomon began publishing stories about the embassy’s activities at The Hill and on Fox News, according to Solomon.
When the embassy sought help from the State Department in Washington to use a contractor called Crowd Tangle to continue the social media monitoring, it was advised the activities were “barred by federal law,” an official familiar with the documents told Just the News. The embassy ceased the activities and asked for training about the issue, the official said.
While the released documents will have some information redacted, they will identify the 13 Americans whose accounts were targeted and confirm that some officials were aware of the monitoring, the officials said.
Those monitored also include Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani, Judicial Watch president Tom Fitton, Sebatstion Gorka, and Fox News personalities Sara Carter and Dan Bongino, according to the report.

Carter Page’s FISA Related ‘Woods File’ Docs Disappeared, Was It ‘Malice Or Incompetence’
The original Woods file on former campaign advisor Carter Page went missing more than two years ago, and according to sources who spoke to SaraACarter.com, those documents had to be recreated by the FBI and former Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s team in 2018 from the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Application used by the bureau to obtain the warrant on Page. That FISA was used in part to investigate President Donald Trump’s campaign and the now-debunked theory that it colluded with Russia during the 2016 election, according to several sources, with knowledge, who spoke to this reporter.
The woods file procedure, which was overseen by FBI Supervisory Special Agent Joe Pientka, and ultimately former FBI Deputy Assistant Director Peter Strzok, was used to verify the contents in the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act application that was used to obtain a warrant to spy on Page.
Moreover, during Pientka’s numerous interviews with investigators from the DOJ’s Inspector General’s office, who likely have worked for both Michael Horowitz and Connecticut prosecutor John Durham – the fact that it was a recreated Wood’s file was never disclosed.
In fact, it had been missing for an unknown period of time, possibly up to two years and officials did not become aware it had disappeared until last week during a closed-door Senate Intelligence Committee hearing.
Pientka attended the closed-door hearing, along with other FBI officials, according to sources familiar with the proceedings.
“The real story here is how does the FBI, Special Counsel’s Office and Inspector General figure out if the Wood’s file went missing through malice or through incompetence,” said a source with knowledge if the circumstances.
Pientka has so far been cleared by the Justice Department and not charged with any wrongdoing. According to sources, he has been speaking and cooperating with Justice Department officials and members of Congress. He still maintains active employment with the FBI, unlike Strzok, FBI lawyer Lisa Page, former Deputy Director Andrew McCabe and former Assistant Director Bill Priestap, among others.
“The fact that the investigation was run as a ‘special’ out of FBI Headquarters is not unique,” said a person familiar with the situation. “However, running an investigation like that out of headquarters causes all sorts of problems including access to control and sensitive items, improper storage and handling of those sensitive items, and the ability for individuals to become involved in things or gain access to information that they should never rightly have.”
“The real story here is how does the FBI, Special Counsel’s Office and Inspector General figure out if the Wood’s file went missing through malice or though incompetence,” the source added. “Either answer doesn’t reflect well on this investigation.”
FBI officials did not respond by close of business after being contacted several hours earlier. However, this story will be updated once a response is received.
Justice Department spokesperson Kerri Kupec could not be reached by phone or email for comment.
The information regarding Carter Page’s woods file also comes on the heels of an announcement Tuesday by Justice Department Attorney General William Barr and FBI Director Christopher Wray that they are rolling out a series of new reforms and procedures for seeking approval of intelligence-related surveillance of campaign staff and officials.

Let’s Get Lower Drug Prices AND More Innovation and New Cures!
President Trump has done a lot in his first term to strengthen the U.S. Economy, make America more competitive, and bring good paying jobs back to America. As a result, before the Chinese COVID pandemic and the almost complete economic shutdown imposed by various governors and mayors, Americans saw their wages on the rise at record levels and had record high employment opportunities. So President Trump gets high marks for his work on the economy and understanding market forces. But I am concerned that his administration’s “most favored nation” executive order, which would impose an international pricing index on medicines and drugs in Medicare Part B, is a huge mistake and will do a great deal of harm both to our economy and to those who suffer from illness and disease and are in need of cures.
Most of the nations that would be used in the international pricing index have socialized medicine. So, effectively such an approach would simply import an element of socialized medicine to America. President Trump has wisely opposed attempts to socialize our medical industry.
It is worth noting that the U.S. is the unchallenged world leader in the development of new, innovative, and life-saving medicines. There is a reason for this, and it isn’t because all the smart medical minds are born in America. We are the world’s leader in innovation because our system of intellectual property makes it potentially profitable to invest millions and even billions into research to develop new devices, processes, and medicines. Most medicines cost hundreds of millions of dollars to develop. Some work and provide miracle cures. Some don’t pan out. But that investment has to be recovered at some point. That’s simply how reality works.
If you’re going to invest and risk millions of dollars trying to develop something new and innovative, you want to know that if you’re successful, you can get your investment back over time when the new product is sold to the public.
If government makes it clear to those who do such research that the law will not permit them to recover their investment, that needed research will come to an effective end. Then we will see far fewer innovative cures that save and improve lives in the future. Who pays the cost of that policy? Everyone who at some point during their life becomes sick, needs medical help, and hopes not to live a diminished life or even worse, die. People who are suffering and dying of terrible diseases will be left to suffer and die because government de-incentivized medical research that could have treated them.
Many of the nations that would be used in the international pricing index tell American drug manufacturers what they will pay and typically demand prices well below the costs of developing the medicine. Often, they are only willing to pay the cost of producing the pill, but won’t accept paying for the full research and development that made the pill possible.

Riverdale actress Marisol Nichols, 46, has revealed in an incredible new interview that while she’s been busy working as an actress, she’s had a pretty extreme side gig for the past six years.
In an interview for Marie Claire’s May issue, the star told journalist Erika Hayasaki how she has been working as an undercover FBI agent fighting against child sex trafficking , with Sony Pictures Television claiming rights to her story, and will be turning it into an upcoming television series.
Moar on this…
Marisol Nichols is best known for her role as Hermione Lodge on Riverdale—but it turns out she’s been living a very, very interesting double life that feels as if it could have been invented in the writers room.
In a May 2020 Marie Claire story, Nichols revealed she has been working as an undercover agent alongside the FBI to take down sex traffickers. Seriously. Basically the actor serves as “bait” for predators, sometimes portraying a parent who’s “pimping out” her child and sometimes portraying the child.

Biden: Trump Won’t Condemn Far Right Violence — He Never Condemned KKK
Former Vice President Joe Biden claimed President Donald Trump has refused to condemn violence on the far right during a Monday interview with WPXI’s anchor Lisa Sylvester.
Biden said, “If you notice, he hasn’t condemned anyone other than the radical left he calls, or whatever he’s calling them. The idea he can’t stand up and condemn the militia kind of activities. I think all the violence, the violence by protesters who break windows, who set fires, they should go to jail. That is not protesting. That is not protesting, that is rioting.”
He continued, “Who does he condemn? Does he condemn anybody? Does he condemn anybody on the right for the things they did? That young man, seventeen years old, killed a couple of people with a long gun, and does he condemn that? The militia, has he said anything? He didn’t even condemn the people who came out of the fields in Charlottesville, their veins bulging, carrying Nazi flags, and a young woman gets killed, and they ask him what he thinks, and he says there are very fine people on both sides. It’s an embarrassment.”
Sylvester asked, “Do you think the president has been stoking and inciting hatred and violence?”
Biden said, “Absolutely he has. Think about it. Name me any time, from the time he came down on the escalator in his golden hotel in New York. He said I’m going to get those Mexican rapists. That is what it is about from the beginning. When has he condemned anything that has occurred on the far right?”
Sylvester pressed, “Do you think he is actively, through encouraging these groups to take part in violence whether it’s in Wisconsin or whether it’s in Portland?”
He added, “I think the words of a president matter, and when they breathe hatred, those folks that are hiding under rocks come out. They give them oxygen. That is what happened. He hadn’t even condemned the Ku Klux Klan, yet all the way back, yes, I do.”
On Monday, August 14, 2017, President Trump condemned the KKK, neo-Nazis, and white supremacists after the violence in Charlottesville.

EXCLUSIVE: House Speaker Nancy Pelosi visited a San Francisco hair salon on Monday afternoon for a wash and blow-out, despite local ordinances keeping salons closed amid the coronavirus pandemic, Fox News had learned.
In security footage obtained by Fox News, and timestamped Monday at 3:08 p.m. Pacific Time, the California powerhouse is seen walking through eSalon in San Francisco with wet hair, and without a mask over her mouth or nose.
The stylist doing her hair can be seen following her wearing a black face mask.
Salons in San Francisco had been closed since March and were only notified they could reopen on Sept. 1 for outdoor hairstyling services only.
Salon owner Erica Kious, in a phone interview with Fox News on Tuesday, shared details of Pelosi’s visit. Kious explained she has independent stylists working for her who rent chairs in her salon.
“One of the stylists who rents a chair from me contacted me Sunday night,” Kious said.
A screengrab of the text message she received from one of her stylists, and obtained by Fox News, said: “I’ll be there at 2:45 tomorrow. Pelosi assistant just messaged me to do her hair.”
“I was like, are you kidding me right now? Do I let this happen? What do I do?” Kious told Fox News, while noting that she “can’t control” what her stylists do if they rent chairs from her, as “they’re not paying” at this time.
Kious cast Pelosi’s visit as a double standard.
“It was a slap in the face that she went in, you know, that she feels that she can just go and get her stuff done while no one else can go in, and I can’t work,” Kious told Fox News, adding that she “can’t believe” the speaker didn’t have a mask on. (From the footage, it appears Pelosi had some kind of covering around her neck.)
“We’re supposed to look up to this woman, right?” Kious said. “It is just disturbing.”
Asked for comment, Pelosi spokesman Drew Hammill maintained that the speaker was following the rules as presented to her.
“The Speaker always wears a mask and complies with local COVID requirements. This business offered for the Speaker to come in on Monday and told her they were allowed by the city to have one customer at a time in the business. The Speaker complied with the rules as presented to her by this establishment,” he said.
BREAKING: Nancy Pelosi’s office has confirmed the speaker got her hair cut indoors in a San Francisco salon, but released a statement claiming she didn’t know she’d done anything wrong.

As tensions continue to rise in Wisconsin in the aftermath of Jacob Blake’s shooting, Trump continues to stoke the flames by refusing to condone violence at the hands of police and the likes of Kyle Rittenhouse, the 17-year-old who killed two protesters
