AG Barr Made Surprise Visit to Chicago Last Week – Chicago Mayor Lightfoot and Rest of America Wondering What He’s Up To

US Attorney General Bill Barr has remained quiet since before the 2020 election.   There is no evidence his Department of Justice (DOJ) is involved in reviewing any election fraud committed by the Democrats.  So what is he up to?

We really don’t know if AG Bill Barr is working for the US or even if he is working at all.  He did magical work in ending the totally corrupt Mueller Investigation as soon as he took up his new position.  He has given some incredibly eloquent speeches about the three branches and the importance of the Executive Branch.

AG Barr also put in place an investigation into the corruption behind the Mueller sham but nothing has come of this.  John Durham, who was picked by Barr to put together the investigation has come up with nothing after more than a year of work. Many others claim they could have easily indicted many for many crimes based on public information.  There is no reason for the Durham investigation not being completed by now nor is their for no indictments to date.

So what is AG Barr up to?  It looks like Chicago’s Mayor Lightfoot would like to know the same thing:

A veteran police lieutenant was reassigned last week after a one-day trip to Chicago by Attorney General William Barr caught Chicago Police Department leadership and the mayor’s office by surprise.

Sources told the Chicago Sun-Times that Lt. Patrick Quinn was pulled from his position in the Crime Prevention and Information Center in police headquarters and sent to the Rogers Park District on the North Side after Mayor Lori Lightfoot and CPD brass learned of Barr’s visit during a conference call Nov. 17 — just a day before Barr, the nation’s top law enforcement officer, was scheduled to arrive in Chicago.

Quinn could not be reached Tuesday and representatives for the CPD lieutenant’s union did not respond to inquiries. Mayor Lori Lightfoot’s office referred questions to the CPD, which declined to comment on Quinn’s move.

The nature of Barr’s visit remains unclear, and a representative for the Department of Justice declined to comment on the attorney general’s trip. A representative for the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Chicago said Barr did not meet with anyone from the local federal prosecutors’ office.

Unfortunately for America, the current DOJ is not leading the charge against corruption in the federal government.  Maybe after Trump wins he can put someone in as the head of the DOJ who will address the never-ending corruption in this massive entity.

Until then Mayor Lightfoot and the rest of America have no idea what Barr is up to.

‘A Truly Fantastic Thanksgiving’: Trump pardons Michael Flynn

Michael Flynn

President Trump announced Wednesday that he “granted a full pardon” to his former national security adviser Michael Flynn, concluding a nearly three-year legal battle brought about by special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into the Russia hoax.

“It is my Great Honor to announce that General Michael T. Flynn has been granted a Full Pardon,” Trump tweeted. “Congratulations to @GenFlynn and his wonderful family, I know you will now have a truly fantastic Thanksgiving!”

On December 1, 2017, Flynn, who was Trump’s first national security adviser, pleaded guilty to making false statements to the FBI during an interview regarding phone calls he had with then-Russian ambassador Sergey Kislyak during the presidential transition.

The FBI had been investigating the retired military general and three other Trump campaign advisers since August 2016 as part of Crossfire Hurricane, the Daily Caller reports.

But, in a court filing on January 29, 2019, Flynn said he did not intentionally lie to the FBI about his calls with Kislyak and that he regretted pleading guilty. His reason for doing so? He made a deal with the government in order to protect his son from potential criminal prosecution in relation to their lobbying for Turkey, which the Justice Department also investigated

The Justice Department filed a motion in May to drop the charges against Flynn, citing evidence that the FBI had withheld from Flynn’s legal team, according to the Daily Caller. Since then, the Justice Department has released FBI documents showing that the bureau planned to close a counterintelligence investigation against Flynn due to lack of evidence.

The White House also released a statement Wednesday saying that Flynn “should never have been prosecuted” and that the pardon ends “the relentless, partisan pursuit of an innocent man.”

“While today’s action sets right an injustice against an innocent man and an American hero, it should also serve as a reminder to all of us that we must remain vigilant over those in whom we place our trust and confidence,” the statement continued.

Time healed wounds caused by ‘flawed genius’ Maradona, says England’s Steven

November 25, 2020

By Rohith Nair

(Reuters) – Time has healed the wounds that Diego Maradona inflicted on England at the 1986 World Cup and he should be remembered for his achievements in football rather than for scoring its most infamous goal, former England midfielder Trevor Steven has said.

Maradona died after suffering a heart attack at his home in the suburbs of Buenos Aires on Wednesday, less than a month after his 60th birthday.

Thirty-four years ago, Argentina knocked England out of the World Cup quarter-finals in Mexico with Maradona scoring two goals in the space of four minutes.

His first was immortalised in football folklore as the ‘Hand of God’ goal after the diminutive Argentine leapt in front of onrushing England goalkeeper Peter Shilton to touch the ball into the empty net with his fist.

The second was the product of a mazy run past half the England team to score what was later known as the ‘Goal of the Century’.

“He scored the most infamous goal in world football history and also the most iconic and fantastic goal considering the situation,” Steven, who was on the pitch that day at the Azteca Stadium, told Reuters.

“The quarter-final of a World Cup played at 9,000 feet above sea level and in temperatures above 100 degrees Fahrenheit… playing in those conditions was a challenge in itself but when you look at the level he took the game to it was almost unbelievable.”

England were incensed at the manner of Maradona’s first goal and Shilton has said that he would never forgive Maradona.

‘CHEATED AND GOT AWAY’

Steven said that his team mates were justifiably angry.

“He cheated and got away with it. He never looked to own up to what he had done,” former Everton, Burnley and Rangers midfielder Steven said. “It set us on the road to elimination from the World Cup. We felt we had been robbed of a potential opportunity.”

“I certainly feel I admired him but I didn’t know whether to like him or loathe him as an individual because of the effect his action had on England but also on that group of players and on myself personally.”

Time, however, has softened the blow for the 57-year-old.

“As time goes by, the feelings get diluted somewhat and the wounds healed,” Steven said. “You could take Maradona for what he was – a genius footballer, a flawed genius with his lifestyle, but with his footballing ability he was out there on his own.

“Of all the great players around the world, no one could do what he could do. That (the Hand of God) was a split second but he had 15 years of professional football where he… won the highest honours.

“So we need to remember him for those achievements rather than being very parochial or personal about that day way back in June 1986.”

Georgia's Republican secretary of state says he's being "thrown under the bus" by President Trump

In a Wednesday op-ed for USA Today, Georgia’s Republican Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger said he is being “thrown under the bus” by President Trump in the wake of the 2020 election. Raffensperger defended his handling of the state’s voting process and called the elections “something for all Georgians to celebrate, whether their favored presidential candidate won or lost.” CBS News Atlanta affiliate WGCL-TV’s investigative reporter Adam Murphy joins CBSN’s “Red and Blue” anchor Elaine Quijano with the details.
