Parler sues Amazon for breach of contract, antitrust violation

In a whirlwind three days, Big Tech has shown their true colors, collectively banning President Trump – and several of his supporters – from all platforms. In response, conservatives flocked to Parler, an alternative forum where all ideas are welcomed and encouraged.

The right moves quickly, but the left seems to be one step ahead.

Shortly thereafter, Google, Apple and Amazon suspended Parler from their respective app stores and web hosting services because “the social networking service popular with many right-leaning social media users has not taken adequate measures to prevent the spread of posts inciting violence.”

But, Parler will not be silenced. The social media platform filed a lawsuit against Amazon on Monday, seeking a temporary restraining order to keep Amazon Web Services from blacklisting Parler, Fox Business reports.

“AWS’s decision to effectively terminate Parler’s account is apparently motivated by political animus,” Parler claims in its filing. “AWS is violating Section 1 of the Sherman Antitrust Act in combination with Defendant Twitter. AWS is also breaching it[s] contract with Parler, which requires AWS to provide Parler with a thirty-day notice before terminating service, rather than the less than thirty-hour notice AWS actually provided. Finally, AWS is committing intentional interference with prospective economic advantage given the millions of users expected to sign up in the future.”

Parler believes the reason for the ban is because of its direct competition with Twitter.

“Last month, Defendant Amazon Web Services, Inc. and the popular social media platform Twitter signed a multi-year deal so that AWS could support the daily delivery of millions of tweets. AWS currently provides that same service to Parler, a conservative microblogging alternative and competitor to Twitter,” the filing reads.

“When Twitter announced two evenings ago that it was permanently banning President Trump from its platform, conservative users began to free Twitter en masse for Parler. The exodus was so large that the next day, yesterday, Parler became the number one free app downloaded from Apple’s App Store.”

Parler went dark early Monday following Amazon’s decision to remove the platform from its cloud hosting service.

In an interview with Maria Bartiromo on Monday, CEO John Matze told users to “hold on and come back” as the company figures out its next steps.

“Nobody has presented any credible piece of information or evidence that, you know, there are any problems on Parler that don’t exist on other platforms,” he said.

“This really is a double standard…we see all sorts of nastry threatening content on Twitter, much more of it actually, in our opinion, and, actually, a lot of content that’s deleted from parler still remains on Twitter to this day in the form of screenshots,” he added.

“So I don’t understand, you know, what this is really about. Because it is not about holding everybody to account equally. It’s about giving preferential treatment to certain people.”

This Big Tech purge is just another left-wing effort to silence any and all views they don’t agree with, and it’s terrifying.

New migrant caravan heading to US days before Joe Biden takes office

Just 8 days before Joe Biden is set to be sworn in as the 46th president of the United States, a new migrant caravan is forming in Honduras.

And it’s coming straight for the U.S.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection issued a warning to migrants about the risks involved with the potentially dangerous journey as Guatemalan officials reportedly plan to deploy 4,000 soldiers to patrol their southern border.

Rumors are brewing that some migrants plan to begin their trip before the end of the month.

“Control will be strengthened with the borders we share with Mexico, Honduras and El Salvador and on the area of adjacency with Belize,” Rubén Téllez, a Guatemalan military spokesman, told Reuters last week.

The Guatemalan air force will also be involved in efforts to stop the caravan, he noted, and only Hondurans with a valid passport and a negative coronavirus test will be allowed entry into Guatemala, BizPacReview reports.

According to Reuters, Hondurans have taken to WhatsApp and Facebook groups to organize the caravan’s departure from San Pedro Sula on January 15th.

Customs and Border Patrol Acting Commissioner Mark Morgan issued a message last week to the caravan: “Do not waste your time and money, and do not risk your safety and health. The dangerous journey both puts you in harms way and endangers the lives and health of those in the U.S. and regional countries through the potential spread of COVID-19.”

“The United States stands united with our partners in Mexico, Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala, Belize and the rest of the region in our commitment to the rule of law and public health,” Morgan added.

Morgan also warned that the journey is deadly, noting that Border Patrol “recovered more than 250 bodies along the U.S.-Mexico border last fiscal year.”

“We saw two deaths just last week, when smugglers abandoned dozens of migrants in a winter storm that dumped two feet of snow near Big Bend, Texas. These smugglers are reckless with human life – they do not care for the safety of migrants or law enforcement,” he urged.

Migrants have reportedly been telling Border Patrol agents that they were planning to take advantage of the expected loosening of immigration rules upon the start of Biden’s administration, according to BizPacReview

“Is the rhetoric and the discussion of the potential new strategies impacting the flow?” Morgan said. “Unequivocally, yes. That we are hearing directly from those trying to enter illegally.”

Conservative Social Media Platform Parler is Latest Victim in Big Tech’s Sweeping Shutdowns

Parler

A new era of liberals and Democrats intent on silencing the conservative voices in the United States has begun; this time, they come equipped with a new president-elect. Twitter and Facebook flexed their big “private company” muscles by banning President Donald Trump’s account; at first “indefinitely” until they cowered to left-wing bullies and made the choice permanent.

Unfortunately, this may just be the beginning. Their leader Biden hasn’t even been sworn into office yet. After Twitter’s announcement, Apple Inc and Amazon.com Inc “have suspended Parler from their respective App Store and web hosting service” reported U.S. News and World Report. Their reason behind the move is that “the social networking service popular with many right-leaning social media users has not taken adequate measures to prevent the spread of posts inciting violence.”

Parler was an app born as a consequence of hundreds of thousands of accounts being locked or shut down due to the politically conservative and/or pro-Trump content posted. Parler became a platform where conservative voices did not have to fear repercussions of being shut down for freedom of thought.

On Saturday, Apple said in a statement, “We have suspended Parler from the App Store until they resolve these issues.” All web and social media platforms have justified their actions by claiming a “public safety risk.” No explanation, however, has been provided for the fact that zero accounts around the ANTIFA, Black Panther, or violence surrounding the Black Lives Matter Protests received the same treatment.

Even terrorists, such as ISIS and Al Qaeda are free to spread propaganda, start fatwas, recruit new members and inspire lone wolfs around the world; that’s all fine. Demanding proof that an election was legally conducted, however? Absolutely a “public safety risk” that must be extinguished.

DC Mayor Doesn’t Take Ownership of Publicly Rejecting More Police Presence Just One Day Before Riots

Muriel Bowser

After protesters forced entry into the United States Capitol on Wednesday, Democratic D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser gave a scathing public speech. Condemning the protesters, she said they would be held accountable. Bowser also noted that she had asked for reinforcement from law enforcement agencies including police from both Virginia and Maryland.

First off, asking for law enforcement assistance is a far cry from what we have heard from Democrats over the last year who are usually expressing disdain and calling for defunding the police. Not this time. Turns out, even Democrats turn to police when wanting to protect their own agendas.

But Bowser’s hypocrisy is just one level of her deception. People around the world are asking “how could security have been so subpar as to allow a breach of the U.S. Capitol?” Here is at least one answer for you: Bowser actually rejected assistance before the riots took place.

While Bowser is crying, “what happened yesterday is textbook terrorism” it turns out “on Tuesday, Bowser preemptively rebuffed federal reinforcements in a public letter to the Department of Justice, explaining that ‘the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) is prepared for this week’s First Amendment activities” reported National Review.

Bowser actively went out of her way, writing a public letter, which explains the lack of backup. Nonetheless, the facts are not stopping liberals and anti-Trumpers from turning the catastrophe into a racial issue stating the incident occurred because it was “white supremacists helping white supremacists.” Bowser, a Black female, said the MPD was “prepared.”

Again, on Tuesday, long before the demonstration began, Bowser wrote: “The protection of persons and property is our utmost concern and responsibility. MPD is well trained and prepared to lead the law enforcement, coordination and response.” The letter was addressed to Attorney General Jeffrey Rosen, Secretary of the Army Ryan McCarthy and active Secretary of Defense Christopher Miller.

For those who are still unconvinced at the Mayor’s participation in the security failure, look at her tweet from January 5 alongside her letter: “To be clear, the District of Columbia is not requesting other federal law enforcement personnel and discourages any additional deployment without immediate notification to, and consultation with, MPD if such plans are underway.”

Fast forward less than 48 hours and the Mayor sings a different tune, saying she did not have jurisdiction to send police or National Guard to Capitol Hill. “I think a more robust presence on the ground” would have maintained order, she explained.

US Capitol rioter carrying Pelosi’s lectern arrested

Adam Johnson

Florida police have arrested the man officials say was photographed carrying Nancy Pelosi’s lectern through the U.S. Capitol during Wednesday’s riot.

Adam Christian Johnson, 36, was picked up by Pinellas County deputies Friday night on a federal warrant, according to an agency report, and he was being held pending trial.

The Justice Department stated that Johnson was charged with “one count of knowingly entering or remaining in any restricted building or grounds without lawful authority; one count of theft of government property; and one count of violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds.”

Adam Johnson (Credit: Pinellas Sheriff's Office)

“It is alleged that on Jan. 6, 2021, Johnson illegally entered the United States Capitol and removed the Speaker of the House’s lectern from where it had been stored on the House side of the Capitol building,” the statement reads. “A search of open sources led law enforcement to Johnson, who is allegedly seen in a widely circulated photo inside the Capitol carrying the lectern.”

So far, at least 82 people have been arrested so far in connection with the riot.

The FBI is actively searching for any information related to individuals who participated in the Capitol riot. The bureau released 40 photos of people accused of breaking into the Capitol and is asking the public asked for its help in identifying them.

Boston Marathon Bomber Suing Federal Government Over Guard Taking His Baseball Cap and ‘Limited Showers’

Dzhokhar Tsarnaev

A terrorist is suing the United States federal government for $250,000. Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, along with his now-deceased older brother Tamerlan, was convicted as the 2013 Boston City Marathon bombers. Tsarnaev’s older brother was killed in the days after the bombing in a police shootout while they were on the run, allegedly to New York City where they were planning to release similar bombs.

27-year-old Tsarnaev is being held in a Colorado supermax prison, and apparently isn’t enjoying his stay there. He filed a lawsuit in federal court alleging “disturbing” and “unprofessional” treatment by guards. Tsarnaev claims the harsh treatment is attributing to his “mental and physical decline.”

The lawsuit states guards have taken a baseball cap and bandana from the terrorist that he bought at the prison commissary, and they have limited his showers. How horrific. Yet somehow, a young man who terrorized the nation has figured out how to manipulate the justice system and turn his whining into an actual, legal lawsuit.

That’s a lot of freedom for a man sentenced to death after being convicted of 30 charges. Most of the charges were upheld on appeal, but last year one of the appeals resulted in the death sentence being thrown out over concerns over jury selection. Nonetheless, the U.S. Justice Department has asked the Supreme Court to review the case. Also, federal prosecutors called Tsarnaev’s case “one of the most important terrorism prosecutions in our nation’s history.”

Tsarnaev and his brother planted home-made bombs using pressure cookers at the finish line of the Boston Marathon on Boylston Street in 2013 which injured over 260 people and killed three. After the explosions went off, the two brothers stole a man’s car and killed an MIT police officer. The two obtained weapons and got into a shootout with police during which the elder brother was killed. Tsarnaev was found shortly after hiding in a Boston area man’s boat parked in the backyard.

Dan Bongino Locked Out of Twitter, Moving Exclusively to Parler

Dan Bongino

President Donald Trump has been locked out of Twitter and Facebook “at least” until the end of his presidency. It’s a very dangerous and slippery slope when tech companies not only have more power than the President of the United States, but they actually have the power to silence the President; power which they gave to themselves.

Many other conservative voices have been silenced and thousands of accounts shut down or blocked, all under the social media company’s self-determined “civic integrity” or “fraud” or “risk” just to name a few. Conservative commentator Dan Bongino is amongst the latest high-profile victims, and he’s had enough.

“F— these a—holes” exclaimed Bongino. “I’m leaving the platform permanently for Parler. I’ll post my final tweet and message for Twitter tomorrow when the 12-hour lockdown ends” he told the Washington Examiner. Bongino’s account has reached up to 3 million followers; a massive audience that Twitter has disgracefully kept Bongino from communicating with.

Even more disgraceful, is the reason itself as to why Bongino was blocked. He tweeted from his account the video of President Trump telling protesters to go home. Twitter had already banned Trump’s video from being shared, commented on or retweeted. Not long after, Twitter shut down President Trump’s account indefinitely.

“Twitter won’t let President Trump post it himself,” Bongino wrote along with the President’s video asking for the riots to end and for everyone to go home peacefully. Bongino was blocked for violating Twitter’s “civic integrity” rules.

Bongino announced a partnership with Parler in June, taking an ownership stake in the company. “I’ve decided it’s time to fight back against the Tech Tyrants. I’m beyond fed up with the censorship and bias of Twitter and Facebook, and I’m not going to stand back and watch as they target us. As a result, I’ve taken an ownership stake in Parler, the hottest social media alternative in the market right now” Bongino announced at the time.

‘COURAGE PERSONIFIED’: GOP Reps praised for defending Capitol

While the majority of Congress was swiftly evacuated to safety during Wednesday’s riot at the U.S. Capitol, six heroic Congressmen stood alongside police to protect and secure the House Chamber.

Notably, four of those six members are freshmen from Texas who won their first election to Congress in November and were only sworn in a few days before the unrest.

Texas GOP Congressman Pat Fallon described the scene on Facebook as the events were unfolding.

“I JUST SAW COURAGE PERSONIFIED!!,” he wrote. “We were in the middle of debate when Capitol Police came into the chamber and told us there had been a breach in the Capitol Building. At first they wanted us to remain in our seats in the House Chamber. The breach must have gotten worse because they started to evacuate. Then the mob literally reached the doors of the House Chamber and the Police were short handed and I AM SO PROUD that Rep Tony Gonzalez, Rep Ronny Jackson, Rep Troy Nehls didn’t hesitate!!! We augmented the Police and stood our ground!,” he added.

“We will never be intimidated by any mob, regardless of their motivations.”

He continued to recall the details of bravery that took place in the Chamber.

“The mob reached the actual doors to the House Chamber and there was visible concern on everyone’s faces and yet we stood our ground,” he wrote.

“Tony Gonzalez and Troy Nehls were literally on the front lines with myself and Admiral Jackson directly behind them and besieged Rep Markwayne Mullin (who promised he’d be the last person to leave – standing guard while other members, both Democrats & Republicans were being evacuated to safety) and Ken Buck from CO was there as well. We broke off furniture to make clubs to defend the US House of Representatives.”

“Ronny looked over at me and declared, ‘I’m not going anywhere!’ Tony and Troy looked back and nodded reassuringly. I remembered what Tim Grunhard (a center at Notre Dame) would say before a big game at home in South Bend. So I repeated it, ‘This IS OUR House! And we’re gonna protect it!!!’ No one flinched. No one!!!”

He added: “I serve with heroes. My Texas GOP colleagues have been my friends and now they are my heroes!!!”

“We then helped the police barricade the set of doors we were guarding with a large piece of furniture and we had stepped to the side to place it there and that’s when the small pieces of glass went flying. ‘SHOTS FIRED!’ someone screamed. ‘Rounds fired, rounds fired!!’ shouted another. Those rounds, if that’s what caused that broken glass would have struck us just seconds before.”

Mullin appeared on Good Morning America Thursday to describe the series of events.

“At that time, they were trying to come through the front door, which is where I was at in the chamber, and in the back they were trying to come through the speaker’s lobby, and that’s problematic when you’re trying to defend two fronts. Anybody will understand that,” he said.

“You’ve got to secure the perimeter. And in the front there hadn’t been a breach yet, even though they were trying,” he added.

Mullin recalled the internal conflict that occured when weapons were drawn.

“The mob was going to come through the door, and there was a lot of members and staff that were in danger at the time. And when he drew his weapon, that’s a decision that’s very hard for anyone to make and, once you draw your weapon like that, you have to defend yourself with deadly force,” he said.

“A part of you leaves that day too. The first time that happens, you never forget it. And unfortunately two people’s lives changed: that young lady’s family’s lives changed and his life also changed. But what also happens is that mob that was trying to go through that door, they left. His actions may be judged in a lot of different ways going forward, but his actions, I believe, saved people’s lives even more,” he added. “Unfortunately, it did take one, though.”

These six brave heroes risked their lives to defend the House Chamber and, ultimately, the country.

Markwayne Mullin has served as the representative for Oklahoma’s 2nd congressional district since January 2013, while Ken Buck has served as the representative for Colorado’s 4th district since January 3, 2015.

Tony Gonzalez was just sworn in as the representative for Texas’ 23rd district on January 3, 2021.

Ronny Lynn Jackson was just sworn in as the representative for Texas’ 13th congressional district on January 3, 2021, after serving as the Physician to the President from 2013 to 2018 and the Chief Medical Advisor to the President in 2019.

Patrick Fallon was just sworn in as the representative for Texas’ 4th congressional district on January 3, 2021 after serving as the 30th District in the Texas Senate since 2019.

Last but not least, Troy E. Nehls was just sworn in as the representative for Texas’ 22nd congressional district on January 3, 2021 after serving as the sheriff for Fort Bend County, Texas from 2013 to 2021.

Pelosi and Schumer wrong to claim Trump can be removed with 25th Amendment

Pelosi Schumer

Calls by the top Democrats in Congress — House Speaker Nancy Pelosi of California and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer of New York — to remove President Trump from office by invoking the 25th Amendment demonstrate their profound ignorance of the Constitution.

In blaming Trump for “inciting” the criminal acts of those who attacked the U.S. Capitol on Wednesday, the two Democrats are demanding that Vice President Mike Pence and a majority of the Cabinet declare that Trump is “unable” to perform the duties of the presidency.

Fox News reported Thursday night that sources inside the vice president’s office said Pence will reject any calls to oust Trump before the term of both men ends at noon Jan. 20.

Pelosi, Schumer and others who are calling for Trump to be thrown of office before the end of his term are misrepresenting the meaning and intent of the 25th Amendment. They are peddling a constitutional canard.

The 25th Amendment provides for the president’s removal and replacement in the event that he is “unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office.”

Although incapacity is not defined, the legislative history summarized by the Congressional Research Service makes it abundantly evident that the framers of the amendment envisioned a chief executive who was stricken by a debilitating stroke, heart attack, or bodily injury (such as in an attempted assassination) and was physically or mentally disabled as a direct consequence.

The authors of the amendment, which was proposed by Congress and ratified by the states after the assassination of President John F. Kennedy in 1963, made it clear that it was not intended to facilitate the removal of an unpopular or failed president, or for any other political purpose. Concerns about character are dramatically different than mental incapacity.

Sen. Birch Bayh, D-Ind., who was the architect of the amendment, stated that the word “unable” meant “an impairment of the president’s faculties” such that he is “unable either to make or communicate his decisions as to his own competency to execute the powers and duties of his office.”

On the House side, the principal framer was Rep. Richard Poff, R-Va. He cited “some physical ailment or sudden accident” rendering a president “unconscious or paralyzed and therefore unable to make or to communicate the decision to relinquish the powers of his office.”

Against this legislative backdrop, the 25th Amendment has no application to the circumstances that unfolded Wednesday. Pelosi and Schumer don’t care about that. In a shameless ploy, they seek to bastardize a constitutional standard for partisan gain.

The objective of the Democratic leaders is to score political points by further demonizing Trump during the last two weeks of his presidency. Their previous efforts ended in failure. Trump-Russia collusion proved to be a hoax. The attempt to remove the president by impeachment was a predictable bust.

Many Democrats and some in the mainstream media accuse Trump of inciting violence and an insurrection against the United States on Wednesday. Yet, the record (and videotape) of the president’s remarks to supporters who rallied in Washington does not back this up in any criminal sense.

As he has done so often since the Nov. 3 election, Trump argued to the gathered crowd that widespread fraud had “stolen” the presidency from him. Both state and federal courts have consistently rejected this claim. Nonetheless, Trump told his supporters “we will never concede.”

The president then extolled the crowd to march to the Capitol where objections to the Electoral College vote count were being presented by Republican House members and senators (mimicking what Democrats did in 2004).

Nowhere in the president’s remarks did he advocate acts of violence or destruction of property. He did not direct the protesters to launch an assault on the Capitol building, breach security, riot, and engage in seditious conduct.

Under the law, encouraging a demonstration of grievances is not the same thing as inciting criminal acts. For the latter to attach, the language of the speaker must be clear, obvious and unequivocal.

Make no mistake: the lawless display of violence inside the Capitol was appalling and disgraceful. Those who smashed windows and doors, looted and vandalized federal property, threatened lawmakers, and assaulted police officers are nothing more than common criminals. They should be arrested, prosecuted, convicted and imprisoned. It will not be forgotten that five people — including a Capitol Police officer — lost their lives.

Regardless of his intentions, President Trump’s involvement in Wednesday’s tragic and sad spectacle is not without responsibility or recrimination. It will serve as an indelible stain on his legacy. He seems incapable of moving beyond the first two stages of grief — denial and anger. He may never be able to reach the fifth stage of acceptance, although he acknowledged in a video released Thursday night that “a new administration will be inaugurated Jan. 20th.”

Yes, there are serious questions about election integrity and voting improprieties that need to be addressed by both Congress and individual state legislatures. This must be done soon if Americans are to have any confidence in their representative democracy.

But the kind of major fraud that would reverse the election outcome never materialized in the way the president’s legal team promised, at least to the satisfaction of dozens of judges who considered the many challenges.

Trump’s failure to gracefully, if grudgingly, concede defeat constitutes a stunning act of political self-immolation. He will likely be remembered not for his considerable accomplishments in a single term, but how he left office embittered by an ignominious obsession.

It did not have to end this way.

People have breached the US Capitol building not once, not twice, but 6 other times

On the day after pro-Trump protesters breached the United States Capitol in Washington D.C., several important questions remain unanswered.

Who were these people? Why weren’t law enforcement officers prepared? Why did it take so long for the situation to be contained?

But, this isn’t the first time the Capitol has been invaded; in fact, it has happened six other times.

The first invasion happened during the War of 1812 when the British Army invaded Washington D.C. and troops partially burned the Capitol on August 24, 1814. Reconstruction took approximately four years, PJ Media reports

Next, on July 2, 1914, German professor Eric Muenter detonated a bomb in the reception room of the Senate in efforts to stop American support of the Allies. The following morning, Muenter tried to assassinate J.P. Morgan Jr. and committed suicide a few days later.

On March 1, 1954, four Puerto Rican nationalists shot 30 rounds from the Ladies’ Gallery of the House of Representatives chamber, demanding Puerto Rican independence from the United States. Wounding five representatives, the shooters were convicted in federal court and served sentences until receiving pardons from President Jimmy Carter in exchange for the release of American CIA agents held in Cuba.

On March 1, 1971, a radical left domestic terror group called the Weather Underground set off a bomb on the ground floor of the Capitol to protest against U.S. involvement in Laos.

Another leftist bombing occurred on November 7, 1983, when the terrorist group Armed Resistance Unit set off a bomb outside the office of Senate Minority Leader Robert Byrd. The group was protesting the invasion of Grenada. A nearly five year investigation ensued, and two of the terrorists were sentenced to prison.

Finally, on July 24, 1998, Russel Eugene Weston Jr. broke into the Capitol and took the lives of two Capitol Police officers, Jacob Chestnut and John Gibson; his motive remains unknown.

Indeed, attacks on the Capitol have done absolutely nothing to help the causes of those responsible. Violence is never the answer, especially when it comes to politics. And while this may not be the first time a breach has occurred, it is critical to ensure that it will be the last.

Ex-FBI agent assures Secret Service has ‘treasure trove’ of information to find Capitol rioters

Trump Protesters

In the wake of the Capitol riots, which left four dead and 52 arrested, a former FBI agent shared a message of reassurance and warning: the culprits will be found.

In an interview on America’s Newsroom on Thursday, former FBI Deputy Assistant Director Danny Coulson shared insight into the steps that will be taken to track down those who committed the egregious acts of violence on Capitol Hill Wednesday.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation is asking for any information that may help identify the pro-Trump protesters that participated in the violence as lawmakers were in the process of certifying the Electoral College votes won by Joe Biden.

“We know that this was instigator-generated. It didn’t just happen,” Coulson said. “There were people there that came to do it and generated it and caused this horrible mayhem.”

While it may seem next to impossible to find those that caused the mayhem, Coulson said that there are plenty of ways that justice will be served.

“First of all, cameras. There are cameras all over the place,”  he said. “Also, remember that those police officers that were attacked, they had body cameras on…FBI and Secret Service and other institutions have very good facial recognition ability and they captured all that stuff,” he added. “It all becomes digitized.”

He urged that in the coming days and weeks, law enforcement agencies will have plenty of information

“The FBI will see if other people were involved in other riots. There is a possibility. There is a culture in this country, people go from riot to riot,” he said. “They will have the cell phones of the people that got arrested. That’s going to be a treasure trove of information.”

Coulson, who worked for the FBI on Capitol Hill for many years, also praised the Capitol police for their acts of heroism.

“I know the Capitol police are taking a lot of hits,” he said. “They protected those members. They didn’t protect the building, but a lot of members up there who are very fragile and had they confronted these rioters think of the injuries that would have occurred,” he added.

“They acted valiantly. Not well prepared, but acted with heroism, as far as I’m concerned.”

Perhaps one of the most widely asked questions after the riot ensued is: why weren’t police more prepared?

Coulson said that they should have been more prepared, but that it was quite unexpected for a Trump march to turn violent.

“I think they should have been, but I think one thing to remember is that Trump rallies are historically very very peaceful and I think they were shocked at what happened. I think they didn’t account for agitators. I think that is the problem,” he said.

“The chief of police from L.A. is right. I dealt with crowd control, and I will tell you, once they get going you can’t stop them. There’s a very significant visual image of a lone Capitol policeman in a stairway trying to fight off the mob by himself. Why weren’t there more people there? I think that’s a question that has to be answered. It was scary,” he added.

GA Democrat Vernon Jones Officially Joins Republican Party ‘In Desperate Need of Leaders That Know How to Fight’

“Moments ago, I announced that I am officially joining the Republican Party” Tweeted former Democratic Georgia state Representative Vernon Jones on Wednesday. Jones’ statement comes a few months after endorsing President Donald Trump and receiving backlash from the Democratic party.

After coming under fire from his own party for supporting Trump, Jones still “repeatedly said he had no plan to switch his party affiliation” according to Biz Pac Review. That all changed on Wednesday. Just hours after both Democrats won Georgia’s U.S. senate runoffs adding two additional seats, Jones officially announced his party switch.

“Now more than ever, the Republican Party is in desperate need of leaders that know how to fight” Jones wrote in his Tweet. “I know how to fight.” Jones also spoke to the thousands of Trump supporters who rallied in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday to protest the certification process of declaring Joe Biden winner of the 2020 presidential race.

Speaking to the crowd Jones stated, “I am so fired up by what happened in Georgia and what happened across this country.” He continued, “I’ve been thinking a lot. I’m ready to go home. I’m ready to go home to the party of Lincoln.” As the crowd cheered, Jones said, “Today, I’m coming home. I’m coming home to the Grand Ol’ Party. I am officially joining the Republican Party!”

Jones has been vocal about his transition to the Republican party, giving insight during a Newsmax TV interview as recent as Tuesday. “The face of the Republican party is going to be African-American men. African-American men, 2 million more voted for the president. The president has cracked the wall on getting African-American men votes.”

Biden To Pick Obama SCOTUS Nominee, Anti-Small Business Judge Garland for Attorney General

Barack Obama

Multiple reports claim President-elect Joe Biden will pick Judge Merrick Garland for Attorney General. Former President Barack Obama nominated Garland to the Supreme Court to replace the late conservative Justice Antonin Scalia.

Garland’s nomination was thwarted by Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell who “would not consider a Supreme Court nomination during a presidential election year” reports National Review. After Donald Trump was elected to office later that year, he nominated Neil Gorsuch to fill Scalia’s seat.

McConnell and the Senate confirmed Gorsuch in April 2017. Garland, the chief judge of the U.S. Court of Appeals in D.C., will now have his place in the Biden administration. National Review notes that Garland was kindly called a “centrist” by the mainstream media when nothing could be further from the truth.

The New York Times published an article noting that, “If Judge Garland is confirmed, he could tip the ideological balance to create the most liberal Supreme Court in 50 years.” The Times reviewed Garland’s decisions, determining that Garland’s politics are to the left of liberal Supreme Court Justices, Elena Kagan and Justice Stephen Breyer, and only minimally to the right of Justices Sotomayor and Ginsburg.

The Wall Street Journal published a column in that same time by Juanita Duggan, president and CEO of the National Federation of Independent Business, stating that Garland is so anti-small business and pro-big labor, that, “This is the first time in the NFIB’s 73-year history that we will weigh in on a Supreme Court nominee.” Motivation comes from the fact that “In 16 major labor decisions of Judge Garland’s that we examined, he ruled 16-0 in favor of the NLRB [National Labor Relations Board]” added Duggan.

Threat sent to NY air traffic control vowing revenge for Soleimani’s death

Multiple air traffic controllers in New York received a chilling threat over the airwaves Monday.

The message: “We are flying a plane into the Capitol on Wednesday. Soleimani will be avenged.”

The threat refers to Qassem Soleimani, the Iranian general killed last year in a U.S. drone strike ordered by President Trump

Iranian officials have long desired revenge for the death of their general. Made on the one-year anniversary of Soleimani’s death, it is unclear who was behind the threat. And while the government does not view it as credible, it is being investigated as a breach of aviation frequencies, according to CBS News

The Pentagon and other government agencies were briefed about the recording Tuesday, and sources believe the threat was designed to suggest leveling the Capitol on the same day Congress is set to announce the Electoral College results.

A message was also sent to air traffic controllers on Tuesday reminding them that any threat or plane deviating from its flight course should be reported immediately, CBS News reports.

PA GONE WILD: GOP senators refuse to seat Jim Brewster over contested election

Pennsylvania held its swearing-in ceremony at the state Capitol building in Harrisburg on Tuesday.

But, the new session of the Pennsylvania Senate got off to a rocky start when republicans refused to seat a democratic senator who was certified by the state as the winner.

Senate republicans, who hold the majority, refused to let Pennsylvania Senator Jim Brewster take the oath of office.

It gets wilder.

When democrat Lt. Governor John Fetterman came to Brewster’s defense, the republicans removed him as presiding officer over the ceremony for failing to follow the rules and recognize their legislative motions.

“The chair does not find that in order,” Fetterman declared, which led to his ousting, according to CBS Philadelphia.

“The ayes are 14 and the nays are 11,” republican President Pro Tempore Jake Corman ruled, “and the Lieutenant Governor has been removed from the Senate for the day.”

Fetterman refused to leave, and when he called on Brewster to take the oath, Corman refused to allow senators to be sworn in with Brewster present.

Ultimately, Brewster withdrew.

“I am disappointed that it didn’t happen, but at some point in time they’re going to have to do that,” Brewster said. “The election’s over. We won the election. We got more votes.”

His opponent, republican Nicole Ziccarelli, hopes that mail-in ballots with un-dated envelopes will be disqualified and she will thus be seated.

“I have won the election in Senate District 45 after all legally cast ballots have been counted,” she said.

In a statement on Tuesday, the Senate Republican caucus accused Fetterman of “hijacking” the order and decorum of the Senate, and said they would act without display of partisanship, CBS Pittsburgh reports.

Ocasio-Cortez Baselessly Accuses Nebraska Governor of Being ‘Racist’ In Vaccine Roll-Out

AOC

Another day, another opportunity for Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez to shamelessly call someone a racist. AOC determined that Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts is a racist for making sure all U.S. citizens in his state receive the COVID-19 vaccine before illegal immigrants.

“Imagine being so racist that you go out of your way to ensure that the people who prepare *your* food are unvaccinated,” Ocasio-Cortez wrote on Twitter, responding to a video clip of Rickett’s remarks. While speaking at a press conference, Ricketts addressed the vaccine roll out and meatpacking plants.

Meatpacking workers, along with utility workers, educators and others, are to receive the vaccine in the state’s phase 1B. “Illegal immigrants are not permitted to work in those facilities, so I don’t think that will be a problem,” Ricketts said of illegal immigrants possibly receiving the vaccine ahead of citizens. “Again, you’re supposed to be a legal resident of the country to be able to be working in those plants so I do not expect that illegal immigrants will be part of the vaccine with that program” Ricketts added.

Nebraska is still in Phase 1A, during which 36,000 frontline workers have received vaccines. Phase 1B should begin later in January. According to the Migration Policy Institute, at least 14% of meatpacking workers in Nebraska are undocumented workers. Naturally, Ocasio-Cortez conveniently twisted the Governor’s words.

Governor Ricketts said “illegal immigrants are not permitted to work in those facilities” such as meatpacking plants. Ocasio-Cortez miraculously found words somewhere which she believes justifies calling him a racist, claiming he “went out of” his way to “ensure” that undocumented workers do not get vaccinated. Proving once again, liberals turn to slander and vicious name-calling when there are no facts to help out their case.

Iran Approves Mandate to ‘Destroy Israel’ On Anniversary Of Major General Soleimani’s Death

General Soleimani

Sunday was the one-year anniversary of the assassination of Iran’s major general of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard, Qassem Soleimani. To pay homage to the general, Iran’s parliament voted on a mandate to destroy Israel. Foreign Desk News reports the mandate intends to “destroy the usurping Zionist regime” and to “[break] the siege of Gaza by sending basic goods from official naval bases to Gaza in exchange for money or free of charge.”

The United States’ role is also addressed in the mandate, designating the U.S. killing of Soleimani as a “terrorist act.” Therefore, Iran will unleash “execution of severe revenge by expelling the United States from the region and reciprocal measures to weaken the United States.”

Israel has long been an ally of the United States; a relationship that strengthened during the Trump administration. Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has called Israel a “deadly, cancerous tumor” that must be “uprooted and destroyed.” Calling for the destruction of Israel has been a mission of Iran’s long before the excuse of Soleimani’s death.

The mandate states the Iranian regime will be obligated to pursue the “Right of return of Palestinian refugees” and the “Liberation of the Golan Heights” by providing “welfare-economic-security and infrastructures” reports Foreign Desk News.

Iran has already been taking the actions stated in the mandate. In May 2020, Khamenei confirmed weapons transfer to terrorist groups in Gaza including Hamas and Hezbollah. Iran has supplied millions of dollars annually in financial and military support.

“Iran realized Palestinian fighters’ only problem was lack of access to weapons. With divine guidance and assistance, we planned, and the balance of power has been transformed in Palestine, and today the Gaza Strip can stand against the aggression of the Zionist enemy and defeat it” stated Khamenei in May.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has maintained Israel has the right to defend itself. “Those that invoke the threat of destruction against Israel put themselves in similar danger,” he said.

Politico reporter urges journalists to drop ‘conservative,’ switch to ‘extremist’

Journalists have one job: to fairly and accurately report the news.  But, in today’s climate, many do quite the opposite.

The left-wing media conglomerate works tirelessly to put Democrats on a pedestal, all while making republicans look like eternal villains.

Now, a top Politico reporter is calling on his fellow journalists to stop referring to republicans as conservatives.

Instead, refer to them as “extremists.”

Tim Alberta, the outlet’s chief political correspondent, urged journalists to label any GOP lawmaker who supported President Trump’s election challenge as “extremist” and “radical.”

“Words matter,” he wrote in a Tweet. “It’s past time we reformed our political terminology.”

“We should not – for the rest of their careers – refer to any of these Republican E.C. objectors as ‘conservatives,’” he added.

“They are radicals. They are extremists. There is nothing conservative about subverting democracy.”

In today’s day and age, the news never stops. But where is the line? When does what many think of as news become activism?

When does news stop being news?

Deputy National Security Adviser Says ‘Growing Body of Evidence’ Supports Virus Leaked From Wuhan Lab

Wuhan Lab

Over one year after the first reported infections of COVID-19, a top Trump administration national security official says there is a “growing body of evidence” to support the theory that the virus was released from a Chinese government-run lab in Wuhan. Deputy National Security Adviser Matthew Pottinger spoke in a recent virtual conference call with British lawmakers discussing China when he made the claim.

“Even establishment figures in Beijing have openly dismissed the wet market story.”

“There is a growing body of evidence to say that a laboratory leak or accident is very much a credible possibility,” said Pottinger. “Even establishment figures in Beijing have openly dismissed the wet market story” he added. The Trump administration has been tough on China, with Trump himself having accused Chinese officials of withholding critical information about the origin of the virus as well as details of cases.

Just last month, the Associated Press reported Chinese authorities were “strictly controlling” research into the pandemic’s origins. Earlier this week, New York magazine released a piece titled “The Lab-Leak Hypothesis” showing the theory is getting more mainstream media attention.

New York magazine’s piece explores “the possibility that the SARS-CoV-2 virus and ongoing coronavirus pandemic is the result of a lab accident in Wuhan, China” reports National Review. In addition to the origination, the magazine goes even further, “speculating that the virus is similar to many previously discovered viruses but not quite the same is that it may have been altered through gain-of-function experiments.”

“In other words,” writes National Review, the theory put forth by the New York magazine author “suggests that Chinese scientists wanted to study a particularly dangerous version of an existing virus and thus deliberately accelerated a virus’s process of growth and change to generate a more virulent and contagious version of it.”

The author also notes that “SARS-CoV-2 is similar to other viruses found in nature, but more contagious among humans – and asks whether laboratory efforts might explain what makes SRS-CoV-2 so easily spread.”

Suspected illegal immigrant charged with murder in ‘sanctuary state’ of Colorado

In 2019, democratic Colorado Governor Jared Polis signed a bill into law making the entire state a “sanctuary,” or safe zone, for illegal immigrants.

Within these bounds, state and local law enforcement officials are prohibited from sharing any suspect’s information with the U.S. Immigrant and Customs Enforcement, and will not issue detainers for illegal immigrants incarcerated in jail or state prisons.

This essentially means that anyone illegally residing in the state is protected from deportation, to their home country, no matter what they do – even murder.

Police in Greeley, Colorado arrested 23-year-old Rosalio Mancha-Enriquez, an alleged illegal immigrant, early Saturday morning, charging him with first-degree murder.

Once police arrived at the scene, they discovered the alleged victim who was pronounced dead. The victim has not yet been identified.

The motive is also yet to be determined, and Mancha-Enriquez is currently being held at Weld County Jail without bond, according to Illegal Alien Crime Report.

Ridiculous: Democratic Congressman Ends Opening Prayer With ‘Amen and A-woman’

Congressman

Missouri Democratic Congressman Emanuel Cleaver may have just set the precedent for 2021’s Congressional caucus and boy does it look bleak. In the opening prayer conducted on Sunday to begin the 117th Congress, Representative Cleaver ended in a bizarre manner. Instead of simply saying the traditional “Amen” to conclude the prayer, Cleaver said “Amen and a-woman.”

Gender neutrality makes Democrats on the hill salivate these days, but this is just plain puzzling. A gender is not assigned to “Amen.” Not only did lawmakers say their colleague was wrong to make the attempt, but he was also corrected. Representative Guy Reschenthaler (R-PA) wrote on Twitter the correct meaning of the word is “Latin for ‘so be it.” “It’s not a gendered word,” wrote Reschenthaler, “Unfortunately, facts are irrelevant to progressives” he added.

Former GOP Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich tweeted, “Amen and a-woman. Perfect House Democrat prayer ending as House Dems focus on gender security by abolishing virtually every normal gender term like ‘father. Mother’ – the radical madness has begun – Kevin McCarthy for Speaker!”

Gingrich is in part referencing a push by Democrats to eliminate “gendered language.” In the 45-page 117thCongressional Rules Package, Democrats issued a proposal to replace gendered language referring to a representative’s family members with gender-neutral terms. For example, fathers, mothers, sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, husbands, wives and sons-in-law are to be changed to “parent, child, sibling, spouse, or parent-in-law.”

Representative Cleaver is an ordained United Methodist pastor who was asked to lead the new session’s opening prayer as Congress swore in new lawmakers, and Nancy Pelosi was re-elected as House Speaker.

North Korea applied to receive COVID-19 vaccines, but reports zero cases

Since the start of the coronavirus pandemic, North Korea has not reported a single positive case.

But, interestingly enough, the country recently applied to receive vaccines from a humanitarian group, and has reportedly asked multiple countries how to obtain them.

North Korea applied to Gavi, an international interest group that assists poorer nations in obtaining vaccines, the Wall Street Journal reports. And, over the last several weeks, North Korea contacted numerous European embassies regarding how they can get their hands on COVID-19 vaccines.

Gavi announced in December that 86 of the 92 poorest nations have requested assistance and are qualified for the Covax Advanced Market Commitment program, which has a goal to provide 1.3 billion vaccine doses.

North Korea is particularly susceptible to the virus because of its poverty levels and frail healthcare framework, according to the WSJ.

The country hasn’t reported a single case of the virus, but for months, health experts and foreign officials have been wary of the reports considering the virus’s severe and widespread infection capabilities.

North Korean restrictions included closing borders, suspending travel between foreign countries and the media warned its citizens about the new virus strain, according to the Daily Caller.

FBI confirms ‘specific threats’ of violence related to Georgia Senate races

With just one day until the Senate runoff in Georgia, the FBI and Georgia state law enforcement officials are investigating “specific threats” to the election spanning across the state.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation said that these threats apply to “various counties,” according to Fox News

“The GBI has been made aware of specific threats regarding Tuesday’s upcoming election,” the GBI said in a statement. “Our agency is working with federal, state and local partners to investigate them.”

“The goal is to ensure a safe election and that all voters have access to polling location,” the statement continued.

The FBI Atlanta Field Office told Fox News that it is “aware of the threats.”

“We take all threats seriously and are communicating with our local, state and federal partners,” an FBI spokesperson said. “As always we ask everyone to be aware of their surroundings and report any suspicious activity to law enforcement.”

The FBI and GBI were made aware of the situation after Georgia’s Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office learned of a “threatening email” that was sent to several county employees “regarding threats to polling locations on Election Day.”

An investigation into the emails began shortly thereafter.

“It was discovered that employees from several Georgia counties received the same email,” the sheriff’s office said. “Currently the source of the emails has not been identified.”

According to a source from the sheriff’s office, the email was a “threat of violence.”

News of this threat comes just before voters will cast their ballots in the state’s Senate runoff election, which will decide which party gains control of the upper chamber of Congress.

117th Congressional Rules Package Eliminates ‘Gendered Language’ Like ‘Father’ And ‘Daughter’

House of Representatives leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and Representative James McGovern have brought gender identity to the Congressional floor. On Friday, House leaders announced, “the Rules Package for 117th Congress includes a proposal to replace gendered language referring to a representative’s family members with gender-neutral terms” reported the Daily Caller News Foundation.

Apparently, it is now inappropriate to ask a Democratic representative how their “daughter” or “son” is doing. McGovern’s announcement stated that the resolution would change “pronouns and familial relationships in the House rules to be gender-neutral or removes references to gender, as appropriate, to ensure we are inclusive of all Members, Delegates, Resident Commissioners and their families – including those who are nonbinary.”

Specifics include changing references to fathers, mothers, sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, husbands, wives and sons-in-law to be changed to “parent, child, sibling, spouse, or parent-in-law.” Instead of aunt or uncle, stepparents, and siblings-in-law, extended family will be referred to as “child’s parent.”

Other changes include using “seafarers” instead of “seamen,” “chair” instead of “chairman” and instead of “submit his or her resignation” it will simply be “resigns.” The rules package is to be voted on when the new Congress assembles. The package also includes reforms to ethics, accountability and inclusion.

Pelosi is thrilled with the proposal, stating, “Thanks to the leadership of Chairman McGovern and our Members, Democrats have crafted a package of unprecedented, bold reforms, which will make the House more accountable, transparent and effective in our work to meet the needs of the American people.” As the Daily Caller points out, Pelosi still has “mother” and “grandmother” in her Twitter bio. How insulting!

Portland Rioters NYE Destruction Claim ‘Solidarity with BLM’

Portland

Progressive city Portland, Oregon continues to experience riots and unrest while many other cities have quieted. Oregon’s Fox 12 reported roughly 100 people gathered and targeted a federal courthouse in downtown by setting off fireworks. Portland’s Police Bureau took to Twitter explaining, “Participants have thrown multiple firebombs at officers and launched commercial-grade fireworks at the Federal Courthouse and Justice Center.”

The tweet was sent just after midnight, at 12:37 on Friday, January 1st. KOIN reported that police began to use pepper spray or mace, as well as what could have been rubber bullets or pepper balls. The destructive behavior did not begin on New Year’s Eve.

Portland has seen some of the largest protests and riots since the May 25th death of George Floyd, who died at the hands of police in Minneapolis. Earlier this week, “nearly a dozen businesses were vandalized downtown overnight, according to Portland police, including Portland City Hall, Oregon Historical Society, TriMet and Portland Police Bureau” reported KOIN.

By 10:50 p.m. on New Year’s Eve, Portland police declared a riot in downtown after the fireworks were set off and fires were set. According to KOIN, “around 11:15 p.m., Portland police advanced on the protesters, who responded by shooting fireworks at them. At the same time, DHS officers faced off against people on SW Main. Pepper spray or mace was seen being used. The sound of pepper balls, rubber bullets or some type of less-lethal munition was heard.”

It all began around 9 p.m. when the protesters gathered downtown near the police headquarters before marching through the streets. A Starbucks window was broken, bottles were littered around the Portland Police Bureau, and graffiti damaged “several” buildings.

KOIN reports “it’s unclear what the main thrust of the gathering is,” however, a flier of the event states “In Solidarity with BLM.” The flier also included, “No Streamers, No Megaphones, No Masters.” Participants were asked to wear bloc and to “be water” for the autonomously organized event. Multiple advertisements for the event had been posted online.
